When to start using anti-aging products

Patients often ask whether 25 is "too early" or 55 "too late" for anti-aging care. Neither is true. Prevention beats correction at every age — the products simply change.
Your 20s: protect
Daily SPF 30+ and an antioxidant serum like vitamin C do 80% of the work. Collagen is still abundant; your job is to stop sun and pollution from spending it early. A light retinoid two nights a week is plenty.
Your 30s: correct early
Fine lines around the eyes and uneven tone appear first. Step up to nightly retinoid, add niacinamide for pores, and consider your first gentle chemical peel each season.
Your 40s and beyond: rebuild
Volume loss and laxity need more than creams. This is when in-clinic treatments — microneedling, radiofrequency, and targeted anti-aging solutions — pair with peptides and richer moisturizers for visible firmness.
The golden rule: introduce one product at a time, wear SPF daily, and judge results after twelve weeks — skin renews slowly, and patience is part of the treatment.
